There are lots of effective strategies that can really help children with autism including environmental and sensory input changes, adapting our communication, consistency, organisation, emotional regulation development, enhancing social interaction skills, understanding behaviour, using transition supports, visually structuring lessons and tasks as well as ensuring learning is engaging and exciting. In this episode I discuss these themes and how we can implement these strategies to help our autistic students achieve and be successful.
