Kshitij
Kshitij (meaning “New Horizon” in Sanskrit) is a Mumbai-based NGO that employs adults with intellectual disabilities to create exquisite hand-crafted items and chocolates. Our products make excellent corporate and personal gifts. Our participants have different types of intellectual disabilities caused by conditions such as Down Syndrome, Autism and Brain Damage. In the sheltered and nurturing environment of our workshops, they are supervised by professional instructors as well as their own family members, engaged in various recreational activities with their peers and provided with a salary for their work. Â
