Prior to moving to Dubai, Mrs. Vasilache worked as a clinical psychologist in Spain at San Francisco Clinic and in Dubai at GMC Clinics and Kids FIRST Medical Centre. She gained extensive experience in individual psychotherapy for adults, psychological assessments and psychotherapy for children, couple and family therapy, working with clients from different countries and cultural backgrounds. Although her interventions are adapted to the specific needs of her clients and may combine many different orientations, Mrs. Vasilache specializes in Solution-Focused Brief Therapy and Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy. She is a member of the multi disciplinary Eating Disorder team at the ACPN and applies evidence-based models of intervention, such as Cognitive-Behavior Therapy-Enhanced (CBT-E) and Family Based Therapy (FBT) for all types of eating disorders, adults and children. Mrs. Vasilache is also trained in Behavioral Activation for Depression and offers group therapy for people suffering from Social Anxiety. She works intensively with adolescents through a systemic approach and involves the whole family in the psychotherapeutic process. Mrs. Vasilache works with children and adults suffering from all types of anxiety disorders, depression, personality disorders (adults), emotional instability, addiction tendencies, OCD, couples, bipolar disorder and psychosis. Her experience as a psychologist taught her, more than her studies, that the most important and helpful thing in psychotherapy is the professional, authentic connection two people can establish, and, before being just a professional in her sessions she is a person willing to understand and support others. She strongly believes in the healing power of the corrective emotional experience within the psychotherapy that she provides.
