Quicksand
Desperate to provide a more complete life for their nonverbal, autistic son Oscar, Sam and Amy face many barriers associated with autism, a disability for which there is currently no known cause or remedy. QUICKSAND captures their anger, frustration, fear, and despair while we observe the innocent Oscar who watches the world from the other side of a transparent wall. QUICKSAND, an original musical drama, surfaces at a critical time when 1 in 36 children are diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder. This musical drama features a 14-member cast and 18 songs accompanied by orchestra or piano or piano and any combination of instruments from the orchestration.
