Ayla and Alex have Autism! The first story in the series, ""My Friends are Different"", looks at children Ayla and Alex, who have Autism. The story explores the challenges they both face e.g sensory difficulties and social difficulties, whilst further explaining how Autism presents differently in males and females. Ayla is high masking which is conveyed throughout the story. She is creative and attempts to fit in with her peers. However, she appears to ""boss"" her friends around and her emotions can overflow.
