This book outlines Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), and has been written by an artist/author with first-hand experience, who has been diagnosed with ASD. Art and Autism considers whether autistic traits can be an asset to individuals on the spectrum. In the context of fine art, this book seeks to analyse the life and work of Andy Warhol, using diagnostic manuals to clearly define what could be classified as an autistic trait. Information from primary and secondary sources, including books written by Warhol himself and interviews with his family members, is critical to Beth Radic's findings. The book will conclude with a review of Warhol's many accomplishments and how his success could be attributed to his autistic traits.
