When a physician is treating a patient, sometimes her or his first diagnosis doesn’t completely account for the symptoms that are present. In cases where diagnosing an illness is tricky, the physician may consult other sources for ideas—medical journals, previous clinical outcomes, the patient’s family history. Just as having these rich information resources close at hand makes a doctor’s treatment better, using the wealth of diverse experiences and backgrounds of the people we serve makes ProMedica a stronger organization.
