SRCC CHILDREN’S HOSPITAL
Our goal is to maximize the abilities of each child while minimizing the effects of their impairments and promote physical and mental health. We concentrate on the physical or cognitive aspects of recovery from an illness, disease, condition or injury. Our department typically employs the use of a multidisciplinary team of health care professionals to promote overall health. Some health conditions and psychosocial/behavioral concerns also appropriately receive attention from our multidisciplinary team of pediatric rehabilitation specialists. Using a team approach, the different treatments a child may need is coordinated with a wide range of available medical, therapeutic, and support services. A team of specialists works together in setting goals, reviewing progress and preparing home planning for a child’s holistic development.
