Pennsylvania Autism Action Center
One of the most significant challenges for people on the autism spectrum is difficulty in social interaction. PAAC addresses these challenges with a variety of unique social groups to fit the needs of children and young adults liv-ing in the North/East PA area. We have developed and learned techniques to build social interactions ranging from basic skills to complex subtle skills. Our groups are run by our trained staff with the supervision of Katie Rodriguez, Director of Social Skills. Participants are assessed and placed with peers that will best foster social growth in the areas of: recognizing social cues, rigidity with rules, hygiene concerns, turn taking and basic initiation.
