Mai is a Jordanian/Palestinian who began her career as an occupational therapist in 2011. She completed her Bachelor’s degree in occupational therapy from the University of Bethlehem, and has practiced in both the UAE and Palestine. She speaks English and Arabic. Mai has been practicing OT in different settings; schools, private clinics, hospitals and Community Based Rehabilitation. She worked with the international organization, Handicap International, for two years among clients with neurological and physical disabilities, mainly CP, spinal cord injuries, head trauma, hand injuries and spina bifida, easing access to mainstream services for people with disabilities. Mai has notable experience in assistive devices, environmental modifications and splinting. She has worked with children of all ages challenged with sensory processing disorders, dyspraxia, learning disorders, physical difficulties, ADHD, and autistic spectrum disorders, among others. She’s highly committed to helping parents, advisors and educators.
