Who can Drama Therapy be done from?
Most schools, community centres, and autism centres have access to centres that specialise in or offer drama therapy. Although the procedure is not very different from any simple drama class, it is slightly modified to suit children on the autism spectrum, and the drama therapists are aware of how to deal with children on the autism spectrum and help them reduce their symptoms.
The North American Drama Therapy Association oversees professional training criteria and procedures for certified drama therapists. The NADTA also offers an alternative training program for those who do not receive a master’s degree from an NADTA-approved program.
