What is aquatic therapy?

Interventions for children on the autism spectrum are enhanced when performed within an aquatic environment. Aquatic Physical Therapy interventions are designed to maintain or facilitate function, balance, coordination and agility, flexibility, aerobic capacity/endurance conditioning, gait, locomotion, body mechanics and postural stabilization.
