Besterah is a Speech and Language Therapist who graduated from City University London in 2015. Besterah also has an undergraduate degree in Psychology from the University of Surrey. She worked at the Centre for Research in Autism and Education (Institute of Education) before completing her undergraduate degree where she was responsible for running a study, which investigated the mental health needs of pupils with ASD in the network of special Schools “Emotional and behavioural problems in children and young people with autism spectrum disorder in specialist autism schools” (Research in Autism Spectrum Disorders 8 (2014) 661–668). Besterah Joined LST in 2015 and has experience in working with children with Developmental Language Impairment, delayed speech and language, Learning Disabilities, Downs Syndrome and children with Autistic Spectrum Disorder (ASD). She provides speech and language therapy to children in mainstream schools and private clients that are based in London and internationally. Besterah is trained in SCERTS, Attention Autism, Nuffield and PECS. She is also a member of the ASD CEN. Besterah is fluent in Turkish and is able to assess and provide therapy in Turkish.
