Things Not to Say to Parents of Children with Autism

I read an article earlier this week about a list of 10 things you should never say to a parent of an autistic child (you can read it here http://www.autismconnect.com/news-articles/35...). This was a little eye-opening to me. Not because I would ever consider saying some of these things to any parent, but because some people actually have the guts to say some of them. I also realized that with a lot of other conditions it is the patient that can be asked these things and hurt by them, but with Autism it is usually the caregiver that has to field these inappropriate and often hurtful questions. Have you ever had to deal with any of the comments in the article? Or something else? How to you respond or deal with these people?
